Valentine's

The first year Stef and I were dating, she had to work on February 14th.  So we decided we would celebrate Valentine's Day the next day.  It meant fewer crowds, no premium holiday prices at some dinner establishments, and it has made for a nice little holiday twist that we've kept up every since.  So with our official Valentine's night out saved for the 15th, we decided we'd use the 14th to celebrate with the girls.

I got home from work with flowers for Stefanie and a rose for Afton and Mya.  I wasn't expecting their big reaction but it was perfect.  They were so excited to be getting their own flowers.  Afton had to hold onto hers while watching TV.

It doesn't get much more romantic than heart-shaped pancakes and Spam.  I've been able to successfully infiltrate Spam into my family's diet, but Stef has refused to allow the girls to put syrup on it.

We gave the girls love bags, with treats and little presents.

They got matching lockets with a picture of them together.  Mya and Afton are always so proud to open up the lockets to show people the picture that is inside.
