Last year our girls rode with us in the parade in our first year passing out the fireworks glasses for Spectrum Eye Care. This year we decided we would try to pass the glasses out before the parade so we could let the girls watch and collect candy with their cousins. So we walked along Main St ahead of the parade passing out the fireworks glasses and then settled in to watch and enjoy the small town 4th of July festivities.
The highlight this year was definitely going to the Holt's for the water slide again. Mya was pretty fearless, both going down the slide and jumping to the head of the line in front of her older cousins.
I was set up at the bottom of the slide to take pictures and after Afton went down once I asked her to look at me for a picture. No worries on that one.
It was also great to have Dad stop in so he could watch many of his grandkids having fun on the water slide.
